Today the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) has released its guidance to support companies applying the UK Corporate Governance Code 2024, launched earlier this month.
The new guidance brings together relevant content from previous FRC publications into a single, condensed resource. It links to examples of good practice to help boards effectively implement the Code's Principles and Provisions, including IBE’s Guidance for Board members on developing an ethical business culture.
Our guidance provides practical recommendations; encouraging boards to lead by example, to make ethical behaviour a priority when considering recruitment, promotions and remuneration, and to ensure that ethical risks are taken into consideration in major operational and strategic decisions.
