Good Decisions - Aviva plc

Aviva adopts Day 22 of Ethics Month

Our business ethics code, that all employees have to sign up to every year, outlines our commitment to acting responsibly. Beyond that we believe that to grow our business we need a culture that helps everyone to step up and take personal responsibility for translating our values into our everyday decisions.

Throughout 2015 we ran a collaborative project to investigate where we were and to figure out what we could do to make good decisions more likely at every level of Aviva. We experimented and landed on some simple principals and a very practical toolkit that we are now putting in the hands of all our people to help them ‘care more’, ‘kill complexity’, ‘never rest’ and ‘create legacy’ every day.

This doesn’t just support a compliant business but an innovative and sustainable business, able to deliver more for our customers and make a positive contribution in society.

You can read more about our Good Decisions programme below and see a video of Tom Stoddard our CFO talking about why it’s important for Aviva. We’ve even included some short clips of our people describing the difference it’s made for them.
