Ethics Goes Viral: pandemic dilemmas
At the IBE, we’re great believers in using scenarios to help people develop their ethical thinking. We use plenty of them in our training and we encourage companies to include them in their codes. Simon Webley recently wrote a blog extolling their virtues, and we’ve even produced a good practice guide.
As part of our series, Pandemic and Beyond: the ethical issues, we are releasing six weekly, pandemic-influenced ethical dilemmas. Readers are asked to vote for their preferred option among a set of possible solutions. To conclude the series, the IBE’s Associate Director, Prof. Chris Cowton, hosted a live webinar on 15 October. He was joined by Ram Gidoomal and Amanda Bunten to discuss the three scenarios that generated the most varied voting. The audience participated in live polls and reacted to the panel discussion.
If you’ve been participating in the series by voting on the dilemmas, watch the webinar recording to find out what other people think – and perhaps change your mind. And if you haven’t been voting on the dilemmas, it’s not too late to join in...
