Edelman Trust Barometer: the role of business in a spiral of distrust
The 2022 Edelman Trust Barometer (now in its 22nd year of tracking global cycles of trust) shows trust in business holding up well alongside a continuing collapse of trust in government and the media.
It is clear that stakeholders want business to fill the void and play a larger role on societal issues. But business must be thoughtful and selective as to where and how to engage, mindful of the politicisation of many societal issues.
