Key to the success of any organisation's training on standards of ethical conduct lies in encouraging open dialogue and discussion in order to bring the Code of Conduct to life
The use of scenarios and dilemmas in face to face ethics training is a lively and interesting way to bring the subject of ehtics alive and to get your colleagues to stop and think.
This practical workshop looks at :
- What makes a good dilemma for training
- How to ensure they are effective
- Cultural differences
- A variety of methodologies for introducing dilemmas
- How to facilitate an effective discussion
- The use of dilemmas as part of a strategic communications plan
It will be helpful to anyone devising or revising how ethics is embedded within an organisation.
This course is being run by Jane Mitchell who has worked with companies such as Unilever, Legal&General, Network Rail and LastMinute.com as an internal communications adviser. She was responsible for developing the internal communications of the Rolls-Royce ethics programme working closely with the in-house teams. She has also worked with other organisations including BAE Systems training facilitators for the company’s offline ethics training programme, with Diageo and Cable & Wireless Worldwide on various aspects of their ethics programmes. Jane is also an elected fellow of the RSA, an IBE Associate and an accredited member of the ethicability™ faculty.
The workshop will take place on Thursday 23rd September 2010 starting at 9:30 a.m. The meeting will be conducted under the ‘Chatham House Rule’ at IBE’s offices, 24 Greencoat Place, London SW1.
