It explores the cultural factors influencing business ethics in South Korea, the salient business ethics challenges that companies face and current trends in business ethics and corporate responsibility.

Subscribers say:
"I can say that the report well reflects the present challenges faced by South Korean society and the business community on the subject of business ethics and corruption issues.  Corruption risk is a constraint on the development of ethically sound business in many countries, but as the report concludes, Korean society has been moving towards greater transparency and  the government has been internationally active in promoting anti-corruption measures in various sectors. Our strongly ethical business stance has definitely helped us in developing our business there." Halcrow

The performance of a sample from FTSE 350 companies with an available code of ethics was compared to a similar sample of those without. Four financial measures were used and the data covered the period 1997-2001. The annual list of Britain's Most Admired Companies and the SERM socio/ethical risk reduction rating were also used in the research.
