Current Projects
The Ethical Aspects of Corporate Governance in Europe This report will show how, to date, policy and guidance on corporate governance at the EU level and its member states seems to be lacking in explicit reference to ethical values and behaviours. Some, notably the UK and Belgium, have begun to address this deficit. The report will look in detail at issues such as transparency, accountability, conflicts of interest and diversity at board level. This report will provide a comparative overview of the ethical aspects of corporate governance frameworks in Europe, and raise awareness of key differences in principles of good governance and what this means in practice about the right way to govern a business. * Author: Julia Casson * Published in association with ecoDa: 27th June and 2nd July 2013 Towards Ethical Norms for International Business Transactions This Occasional Paper will consider whether it is possible to agree on and uphold a consensus on international ethical norms in international business transactions.

Annual Business Ethics Survey: Public Perceptions Of Business Conduct
The survey has been conducted annually for the IBE by Ipsos MORI since 2003 as part of their national Omnibus survey of a cross section of the UK public. It has tracked which business ethics issues are of most concern and whether the public believe ethical conduct by business is improving. For a summary of the IBE/Ipsos MORI 2011 survey results, please click here>>.
