AccountAbility
(The Institute of Social and Ethical AccountAbility)                 
A not-for-profit, professional institute and membership organisation promoting social, ethical and overall organisational accountability. AccountAbility administers the AA1000 Assurance Standard, offers training and operates research programmes in the area of organisational accountability with a focus on ‘ideas for action’.                                        

The Ashridge Centre for Business and Society                                      
The Ashridge Centre for Business and Society (ACBAS) is a leading authority on relations between the corporate sector, government and civil society, with an emphasis on the changing role of business. The Centre is part of Ashridge, the international UK business school. It offers tailored training, advice and consultancy in addition to conducting its own research.

Brunel Research in Enterprise, Innovation, Sustainability and Ethics
The Brunel Research in Enterprise, Innovation, Sustainability and Ethics (BRESE) was created in 2002 at Brunel University, West London. It serves as a vehicle for interdisciplinary research into the dynamic and emerging relationships between a number of areas that have hitherto been the subject of largely separate academic and practitioner discourses: enterprise and innovation, sustainability, and ethics.

Business in the Community
                                                                     
As an independent business-led charity and membership organisation, the work of the organisation focuses on responsible business practice making use of networking opportunities and collaborative action. Community work focuses on various different social issues and is delivered through a range of initiatives.

Carbon Trust
The Carbon Trust was set up by the U.K. Government in 2001 as an independent company. Its mission is to accelerate the move to a low carbon economy by working with organisations to reduce carbon emissions and develop commercial low carbon technologies.

Centre for Tomorrow’s Company                                                   
Tomorrow’s Company is a business led think tank which aims to conduct research into, and to stimulate the development of, a new agenda for business. The centre acts as a networking hub for organisations, by identifying and exploring the future of sustainable success, by undertaking and publishing agenda setting research and by promoting the adoption of new ideas and concepts.

CSR Academy
Founded in July 2004 the CSR Academy provides a competency framework for managers wanting to implement CSR into the workplace. In 2007 Business in the Community took over the running of the CSR Academy and undertook a review of its activities. 

EBEN UK
EBEN-UK was established in 1994 as the UK association of the European Business Ethics Network. Its purpose is to provide a forum for academics and practitioners to discuss and debate issues to do with business ethics / corporate social responsibility. It does this through its own annual conference, an annual teaching conference, occasional regional workshops and by providing information on resources, other organisations and events that are of interest to those involved in business ethics.

Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI)                                                                           
The Ethical Trading Initiative is an alliance of companies, non-governmental organisations and trade union organisations that work to promote and improve the implementation of corporate codes of practice which cover supply chain working conditions. It has drawn up an ETI base code, to which companies can subscribe.

Forum for the Future
Forum for the Future is recognised as the UK’s leading sustainable development charity. The organisation was founded in 1996 by environmentalists Jonathon Porritt, Sara Parkin and Paul Ekins with the mission to accelerate the building of a sustainable way of life, taking a positive solutions-oriented approach.

The GoodCorporation                                                                                
The GoodCorporation standard helps organisations to develop, manage and monitor their corporate responsibilities. Based on a set of core principles, the standard sets out a framework of policies and good practices against which an organisation can measure how effectively it is meeting its goals. It covers practices towards employees, suppliers, customers, and providers of finance, as well as community and environmental impacts. To achieve full membership, organisations are annually assessed by an independent verifier and must meet minimum criteria regarding the existence and effectiveness of management practices and deliver research ethics training.

Inter-Disciplinary Ethics Applied (IDEA)
A centre for excellence in teaching and learning of multi-disciplinary ethics at Leeds University. The centre produces inter-disciplinary ethics research and provides business and professional ethics training to a wide range of organisations.

OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises – UK National Contact Point
The site contains information on the OECD Guidelines, adhering countries and other national contact points. The guidelines - a voluntary framework of "principles of good conduct" for international companies in their cross-border business activities, were first issued in 1976. They are aimed at promoting and developing a sustainable approach to business conduct and helping to ensure that Multinational Enterprises (MNEs) act in harmony with the policies of countries in which they operate and with the principles of corporate social responsibility.

Project Sigma                                                                                           
The SIGMA Project (Sustainability - Integrated Guidelines for Management) was launched in 1999 with the support of the UK Department of Trade and Industry. As a partnership between the British Standards Institution, Forum for the Future and AccountAbility; Project SIGMA aims to provide clear, practical advice to organisations to help them make a meaningful contribution to sustainable development.  Training courses are also offered to implement the guidelines.

Public Concern at Work                                                                   
Public Concern at Work is an independent authority on whistleblowing. Established in 1993, they provide free help to prospective whistleblowers, advice on whistleblowing laws and help organisations create a culture where it is safe and accepted for staff to blow the whistle.

SustainAbility
Established in 1987, SustainAbility advises clients on the risks and opportunities associated with corporate responsibility and sustainable development. Working at the interface between market forces and societal expectations, it seek solutions to social and environmental challenges that deliver long term value, and understands business and societal expectations of it.

Transparency International UK                                                                
TI (UK) was formed in 1993, shortly after the international organisation. TI (UK)'s aims were summarised in its annual report of 1994 as "to raise consciousness of overseas and local corruption issues within the UK and support the international campaign of TI". Hence TI (UK) is concerned first with international corruption, but also with corruption issues in the UK. Membership is open to anyone who subscribes to TI's basic aims.

University College London Centre for Ethics and Law
The Centre for Ethics & Law has been established to reflect the growing need for enhanced collaboration between academics, practicing lawyers and industry, given the fast changing and increasingly interdisciplinary nature of the global issues lying at the intersection between law and ethics.
